Located in what is now a parking lot by the Chicago
River, the vision of this project is to create a cultural
center that will bring into the neighborhood a place to gather people and provide an opportunity to embrace cultures from around the world.
This cultural center is focused on the production and history of textiles from cultures of the world; the history of textiles for every country becomes a great learning experience and allows for people to embrace cultures. The program is generated in a way that the function of a space becomes a fusion of two cultures the can be applied into food, textile workshops or indoor gardens.
It also includes resting and showcasing areas; and by the river there is an outdoor gardening system that pulls water from the river with fabric and in a small scale it aims to purify through plants some of that water.
