Meyer Hospital Bridge and Camper Park
The Meyer Children Hospital is a pediatric center located in Florence, Italy. Currently, a campus a few blocks away from the hospital is being built for medical students. However, the issue is posed when the students have no direct or easy access to the hospital.
The hospital has currently a field that hasn’t been utilized and holds the potential to be the connection between the hospital and the campus. The project consists of developing a camper park and space to gather the communities that interact with the hospital, as well as serve the purpose of connecting
the campus and hospital.
The circle becomes a central feature throughout the design because this is a shape that for many cultures symbolizes infinity, unity, it can evoke a sense of peace and help to promote interaction with the communities, especially in a pediatric hospital.
